ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA PARISH

St. Anthony of Padua was a Catholic priest and Franciscan friar born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1195. He is known for his deep knowledge of Scripture, powerful preaching, and strong devotion to God. Originally an Augustinian, he later joined the Franciscan Order inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and dedicated his life to serving the Church.
He is widely known as the “Patron Saint of Lost Things” and is often prayed to by people seeking guidance, hope, and help in times of difficulty. St. Anthony became one of the greatest saints of the Church due to his holiness, miracles, and teachings that continue to inspire the faithful. He died on June 13, 1231, and his feast day is celebrated every year in honor of his lasting spiritual legacy.
